The Linked Strokes and Maneuvers Class combines different strokes to efficiently and beautifully turn and maneuver your kayak on the go.  

Appropriate for both Euro and Greenland Paddles.

Linked Strokes and Maneuvers Class

Class Covers:   Bow Rudder, Cross Bow Rudder, Hanging Draw, Draw on the Move, Stern Draw, Stern Pry, and maybe even a Colorado Hook.  We will discuss which moves work best turning in or out of a wind.  Appropriate class for either Greenland Paddle or Euro Paddle. 

Cost:  $60 Per Person (2 Hour Class)

Registration:  All of our classes require pre-registration.  Our classes frequently fill up so register early.  

Prerequisites:  Next Step Kayak Class or relative kayaking experience. 

Minimum Age:  18 years old. 

Number of Students:  Limited to 5 students.

Cancellation Policy:  If you have to cancel your reservation or change the date of your booking, please call at least 48 hours prior to the tour for a full refund.


Required Equipment:  Sea kayak or whitewater kayak, paddle, life jacket, spray-skirt, pump and a paddle float.  (Please contact us to confirm your kayak is appropriate.)

We do not provide kayaks for the Linked Strokes and Maneuvers Class.  

Recommended Equipment:  Nose plugs and glasses tether.

Other Items to Bring:  Water clothing (no cotton, rash guards and board shorts are ideal), water shoes, a towel and a change of clothing.   

On Belle Isle there is a rustic pit toilet near the kayak launch.  On the right-hand side of Lakeside Drive there are modern restrooms and we recommend stopping there before getting to the kayak launch.
